In May 2018 the Federal Court of Australia made a determination in the Jabirr Jabirr/Ngumbarl native title claim.
The determination included exclusive or partial native title possession of land and sea country covering more than 11,600 sq km on the middle Dampier Peninsula. These determinations recognise native title rights for the Jabirr Jabirr/Ngumbarl, Nimanburr and Nyul Nyul people and the determination was celebrated on country at Beagle Bay in May 2018.
At its authorisation meeting on 6th July 2018. Gogolanyngor Aboriginal Corporation was confirmed as the Prescribed Body Corporate by members of the Native Title Claimant group.
The meeting also elected directors for the proposed Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC).
